It’s been a trend for me and my cousin treat each other a meal as birthday celebration, due to I’m on heavy debt the meal was delayed till now since May. It’s been quite some time since I ever post food related post according to my cousin, decided to bring along my camera to blog about the makan-makan there.

This was the second visit to Kissaten, I always crave for the Choco Pudding from this restaurant since my previous visit.

3 of us ordered set meal in Kissaten…

My Salmon Steak Set cost RM27.80…

It comes with a big piece of Salmon Steak, Salad, Chawanmushi, Miso Soup, bowl of Rice and Green Tea. The Salmon taste ordinary as in I don’t feel the freshness of the fish. The chawanmushi was not warm enough, but that might be cause by the chill environment there.

TeeJay and Adeline ordered the ramen set which come with starter Gyoza and Green tea …

Gyoza which taste like dry version of shanghai xiao long bao

TeeJay Kakuni Ramen set cost RM24.80…

A ramen with Japanese braised pork dish. The origin of this dish is most likely Chinese, similar to Dongpo’s pork but not as heavy in sauce. By cooking it for a long time over a low temperature, the meat moist came into a very nice tender to be consume. The soup taste a little salty to me though.

Adeline Miso Ramen set cost RM 22.80…

As the name goes, Miso is a traditional Japanese seasoning produced by fermenting rice, barley and/or soybeans, with salt and the fungus , the most typical miso being made with soy. Well, I would say the soup taste like ordinary miso to me.

Lastly my favourite dessert Choco Pudding cost RM 6.90…

My last visit to Kissaten we have a very nice choco pudding, but this time it seems to be deteriorated. I still remember the awesomeness of the choco pudding texture as it melt in your tongue. Probably the choco pudding was over chilled, it took quite sometime to melt in the mouth. Somehow if you a choco lover, you still love this choco pudding much. Pretty sinful! xD
